About Us

This contest is organized by the Diocese of Green Bay and underwritten by the National Office of Knights of Columbus for the sole purpose of helping high school students to deepen their understanding of the message of Pope Benedict XVI.

The Education Department of the Green Bay Diocese initiated this competition as a way to help its students prepare for the April 15-20 visit of Pope to New York City, the U.N. and Washington, DC. With the encouragement and support of the Knights of Columbus and others, the initiative has grown into the national contest described in this website.

This section is less about us and more about our two motivations for this project. Our first motivation came in the form of this question:

What do you do when and important guest comes?

The answer is, of course: You PREPARE.

So our second motivation relates to this preparation. You prepare to receive a great teacher by learning something about him and reflecting on his thoughts. With this goal in mind we arranged this contest to help young people and educators learn and reflect on the teacher and visitor we will receive in April.
