Seasonal Job Openings

Camp Tekawitha, a day and overnight retreat center located near Shawano, WI, is currently looking for both part-time and full-time seasonal help.  Camp season runs from June 13, 2009 through August 15, 2009.

Male Camp Counselors  This full-time seasonal position provides supervision and instruction of campers.  Looking for individuals with a commitment to Christian moral principles and a demonstrable sense of care and concern for campers.  Offers opportunities to teach watercraft, archery, tennis, crafts, drama and survival skills. 

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.  Two years experience working with the care and supervision of children in a group setting is preferred. 

Initial pre-camp training will include required certification in First-aid and CPR for children, adults and infants.

Employment offers include a competitive salary along with room and board.  Schedule is Sunday 11am until Friday evening. 

Male or Female Waterfront Lead Counselor This full-time seasonal position provides supervision of staff at the waterfront and the safe activities of campers as to all water related activities at camp. 

Position requires high school graduate or equivalent and must be 21 yrs of age or older, 2 yrs experience working with the care and supervision of children in a group setting and experience with supervising water related activities.  Must have a valid Driver’s License

Initial pre-camp training will include required certification as Life-Guard, Swim Instructor, Instructor Trainer, or equivalent certification, and First-aid and CPR for adults, children, and infants

Cook One full-time 40 hour per week and one part-time 20 hour per week seasonl position is responsible for food preparation while complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards set by the State of Wis Board of Health and the American Camping Association.

Position requires high school completion and state certification in food service and or an Associate Degree in Food Management and or proven practical experience in the area of food preparation and Certified Sanitarian from Serve Safe/Managers License.

Grounds Assistant This part-time 5 hour per week (May through October) seasonal position maintains the grounds and buildings in a clean and safe condition under the direction of maintenance personnel.  Must be 16 years of age.  Ground keeping and/or maintenance experience a plus.
