Bishop John B. Grellinger Circle: $1,000
Most Reverend John B. Grellinger, the first Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay, as a faithful servant of the Gospel, dedicated priest of the Church, Council Father of Vatican II and friend and counselor to God’s people. He was known as a Bishop dedicated to vocations and the people of the Diocese of Green Bay.
Saint Katherine Drexel Circle: $2,500
Saint Katherine Drexel was born into a prominent family but decided to use her wealth to nurture the material and spiritual well-being of Native and African Americans. During her lifetime, Katherine used her fortune to found the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and nearly sixty-five schools and missions for poor Native and African American people.
Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Circle: $5,000
Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha suffered greatly in her twenty-four years of life, not only from small pox that left her scarred but also for her belief in Catholicism. Kateri was the first Native American to be declared blessed.
Fr. Claude Allouez Leadership Circle: $10,000
Father Allouez was one of the most famous early Jesuit missionaries and explorers of what is now the western part of the United States. He played an integral part in bringing Catholicism to this area. Father Allouez held the first Mass in the Green Bay area on December 3, 1669.
Saint Francis Xavier Leadership Circle: $25,000
Saint Francis Xavier, the patron saint for the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay, was born in 1506 near Pamplona in the Basque area of Spanish Navarre. As a missionary, he preached in Mozambique, India, New Guinea and late in life set out to evangelize in China. During his lifetime he converted tens of thousands to Christianity. Francis Xavier was canonized and proclaimed patron of all foreign missions by Pope Pius X in 1622.
